A day in the Life

Gracie's Favorite Things

-Little Einsteins

-Color w/ Crayons. This is a new thing. Before it had to be markers and it only lasted a few minutes. Since last Wednesday she's been a crayon coloring machine, perfecting her craft. She is very specific with what colors she must use. The other day she colored for 5 hours off an on through out the day and cried when we she had to stop to eat or go somewhere. I wonder how long this phase will last.

-Playing in Snow (when we can). She doesn't mind the cold.

-Racing/Chase: She loves to be chased (we play "Monster" where mommy or daddy takes the role of "monster" and we run up and down the hall way chasing her, then the monster either tickles or kisses Grace and we start all over again).

-Singing to Rudolph and Jingle Bells, her two favorite Christmas Songs. She has them both memorized and will listen to them over and over and over again (4 hours yesterday...Rudolph).

-Anything Princess: Dressing up is a daily part of our lives. The minute she wakes up she asks to put on her Belle Dress and is in it 85% of the day. She will also talk as if she is Belle and assign mommy and daddy different characters as well. Daddy is usually Beast.

-Beauty and the Beast Book. It's a lovely LONG book that use to be mine. It's getting way more use now than when I was little. We read it 1-3 times a day.

-Her "Little Baby" lovey: Pink kitty. This kitty has been with her since Melissa was 5.5 months prego. She sleeps with it every day. She now has two but "little baby" is the chosen one.

-Reading. The girl loves to read and we are so thankful. Reading inspires so much imagination

-Pink is her favorite color

-Chicken Nuggets are her favorite "real" food, but she LOVES anything with sugar (chocolate, marshmallows, etc.) However, sugar is no something we give her too often due to the way her little body reacts to it so it's always a special treat.

-Playing at the Mall Playground.

-Collecting rocks, sticks, leaves and then gluing them onto paper

-Being tickled

-Putting clean/wet clothes into the dryer and helping put the dishes away

-cooking and baking. She wants to be our helper every time.

-Singing and Dancing. She has some classical pieces memorized thanks to Little Einsteins

-Counting...she's pretty good at counting to about 40 now which is a new thing. She's been counting to 20 since she was about 20 months old and just this past week started counting higher. Not sure how or why as we don't sit her down and teach her these things but she picked it up some how.

-Bubble baths even though she's not suppose to have them (sensitive skin)

-Parades and Parties

-Praying and singing praise songs.
