This is our first year with no family around to celebrate with. We were just going to spend Thanksgiving at home and cook for the three of us (chicken and some small sides). Well, at the last minute our friends Curt and Heather invited us over to Curt's parents house for Thanksgiving. Loren got a text message that stated: "Dude, you have a new Thanksgiving Family" We were so touched that they thought of us on this day of thanks. What a blessing. It just showed us that family doesn't have to be blood. Family are those who are there for you and love you no matter what. We may not have blood family near by that we can spend time with (minus Charlene, Loren's mom) but we have tons of family who are some of the best friends we've ever had. Praise God.
We had a lovely dinner and sang Christmas songs.
The kids played, laughed and shared.
What a joy!!!
***We did miss my mom, dad, brother, Papabear and all my other family in the East coast. It's just not the same with out them.
