June 9th Gracie Update

1st Nose Bleed:
Monday, June 8th 2009
You were helping mommy and daddy with the laundry.
Mommy asked you to bring your sheets into your room and you gladly wanted to help.
On your way to your room you got caught up in what you were doing and weren't looking ahead at where you were going, tripped on your princess chair and slammed your cute little nose into the door frame. Poor thing. You were crying so hard. About 5 minutes later you were fine. You are so brave and strong!

Songs
Before bed you now have us sing, Lord I Life Your Name On High. This has pretty much been our bedtime song since Easter. At the end of the song you use to have us talk the last few lines so that you could make some comments/ask some questions.
"You came From Heaven to Earth": Earth is where we all live and where Jesus died?
" From the Earth To the Cross" The cross is where Jesus died too?
"From the cross to the grave" The grave is where they put his body and his body is EVERYTHING ("everything was always emphasised and done in a high pitched squeaky voice. Super cute)"
"From the Grave To the Sky" Heaven is where we all go after we die-for those that love Jesus?
"Lord we life your name on high"
-At bed time we also now make silly noises which to G is a form of snuggling. This brings about lots of giggles and unique sounds.
-Then Grace has us tell her a story, which usually starts out like this. "Once upon a time, there was a little princess named Grace..." and we'll proceed to tell a story based on what happened during the day. Mommy also has to always hold Grace and sing "I Love You Lord" before leaving the room too. It's become a process but we love every minute of it. There's only going to be so much time Gracie Monkey wants us to even be in her room at bedtime and we are taking full advantage of this special time together before bed.

Vitamins
You love your vitamins as if they were candy-but we make a point to tell you that they are not candy and can only be taken once a day!
You ask for them just about daily and if it weren't for that we'd forget to give them to you most of the week.
You start to fake cry when you ask for a 2nd round and we tell you no-you enjoy them that much.
You use to have Flinstone vitamins but now we are using Trader Darwin's Children's Chewable Vitamins (which contain no yeast, starch, artificial flavors or added preservatives). You always choose the pink ones but soon there will be none left and you'll need to choose the yellow or orange. You also get a Voot everyday which gives you a full days serving of veggies and fruit. Perfect! So thankful you adore your vitamins.
At night you get a fluoride tablet due to our water not containing any fluoride and you need it for strong, healthy teeth. Every night after you brush your teeth you get all giddy knowing that you get to have your special "treat." before bed.
