For my girl who thinks ever day is a birthday party and throws one for her toys, her mom, her dad or anyone willing this day was 12 months in the making.
We decided to hold Gracie's party on March 27th 2010.
One week before her actual birthday. We chose a Tropical Princess theme.
It was a super fun theme to plan for. The one thing I really felt we needed was sun and warmth to pull it off. The 10 day weather forecast predicted rain and gloom. Well, I was not ok with that so I began to pray. And, the day of the party it was sunny and warm and perfect. I couldn't have been happier with the weather. It was a long day but a wonderful day and the most important part was that Grace had fun.
Beachy Theme:
Beach Balls
Bubbles
Sand tables
Limbo
Hula Hooping
Little Mermaid Pinata
Craft table
Sand buckets filled with chips and candy
Home made chocolate and vanilla tropical candies
Blue "water" fronted cupcakes-chocolate and vanilla
We held it at the Young Life office-in the "grand ball room." It was the perfect place to hold it. My favorite feature is the huge wrap around porch outside. And, the kids spent most of the party out there playing and being kids. We borrowed items from friends. And were just amazing at how much we were able to get and use for so little. A huge blessing. Thanks to all who helped us pull off a lovely party for our lovely girl.
All of her friends were so generous and got her some wonderful gifts.
-Pink T Ball set
-Littlest Pet Shop
-Clothes
-My Little Ponies
-Crafts
-Bunk bed for her baby
-Kite
etc. etc. etc.
It was a great day for my girls. Thank you to all who are exceptional and love my girl. You make her heart happy on a regular basis.
