Sunday, August 9th, 2009 Grandma came over at 8:45am and had a snack and some playtime with Grace before we headed off to church. When we got to church, Ericka was there. It has been over 4. 5 years since we have last seen her. She spent the entire day with us. After church, we dropped off Charlene and she took us out to Red Robin. What a treat! Then we came home for nap time. While Grace napped we talked and talked and talked-caught up on life. Then we all headed out on a trail walk which was a whole lot of fun. When we got back back Ericka gave Grace this incredible Melissa and Doug dress up magnetic ballerina doll. It was the absolute perfect gift for Grace. They played with it before and after dinner. Ericka stayed until 8:30pm. Having her over was a huge blessing. However, it made me sad that we don't live near by. She is someone I could hang out with and talk to often. Ericka is just about the most inspiring mom I know. She gave us some really incredible tips as our little girls are very similar. It was a joy to spend the day with her and I hope another few years do not go by until we are able to do it again.
