Terrific Twos

We are choosing to call this year the TERRIFIC TWOS VS.TERRIBLE TWOS

This has definitely been the most challenging year thus far. Age 2 is super fun and super hard all rolled into one.
Grace is our extremely independent, vivacious, silly, goofy, wild girly girl who happens to love dressing up and pretending to be a princess while at the same time enjoys eating wood chips and stomping in mud puddles.
She is the perfect mix for us...she is perfectly GRACE.
Every day brings us a new challenge and every day is filled with joy.
She brings out the best in us and tries to bring out the worst in us (LOL) but with God's patience and wisdom we are making the best of this time.

Our 'terrific' challenges as of late:
-hitting and kicking (mostly towards mommy...I've been told it's because she feels comfortable with me and is just trying out her new found skills and knows that no matter what Mommy will always be there for her)
-Saying "No, mommy, no"..."No, daddy, no" Miss. Independent knows what she wants and doesn't want.
-Pretending she doesn't hear us
-Staying with us when we are out vs. running for the hills
-snatching and thinking everything is 'mine'...of course toddlers don't have the capability to learn how to really share until after the age of 3.

Fun New Stuff Grace Can Do (we'll most of this stuff she's been able to do since she was 20 months old but wanted to put down)
-She has a good 20-30 songs in her repertoire
-Knows her ABCs
-Can count up to 20
-Knows all her colors
-Can have full conversations with us. Can talk up a storm and we understand everything she says; most of the time.
-Can climb really well
-Can sing and dance....loves to do both
-Jump really high
-gymnastics...she's working on her somersault and bar work
-She has really good balance
-Has some movies memorized and acts out the parts

Grace has truly taught us so much about ourselves and are making us want to be better parents and people.
She has changed our lives.
I look forward to this up coming year, challenges and all.
