Day 6 was spent out and about.
In the morning we went to the Old Canary.
http://www.oldcanneryfurniture.com/
It's a furniture store, but it's really unique furniture store.
There were trains running up over our heads and in the kids section there is a HUGE Thomas The Train set up and Grace had a blast just watching the trains over and over again.
She got her picture taken in front of a train and they gave her a conductors hat, scarf and a train whistle for free.
We got to try some homemade fudge while we were there and Grandma bought Grace some rock candy. It was a favorite of mine when I was younger.
After we all napped/rested we headed to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma.
This was probably my favorite day. We got to feed the geese and ducks. Walked through a breathtakingly beautiful rose garden; smelling all the flowers, picking petals and just really having a wonderful time with each other.
Then we ended the day by eating out at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Hmmmmmmm...yummy, yummy. What a great way to end a lovely trip
Day 7
Mom/Grandma went home.
We dropped her off at the air port at around 10:30am.
Grace was really sad after Grandma left and kept asking to go back to the airport.
They really do have a special bond.
My mom is home safe now and we are looking forward to spending time with her in the hopeful near future.
