Tumwater Falls

Loren didn't have to be in to work today until 5pm so we decided to head to Olympia, WA.
We were originally going to head to their farmers market but then found out it's closed Jan.-April, so we had to change our plans just a tad. A friend of ours told us of a place called Tumwater Falls which was also in Olympia. We decided to check it out. It was incredible. There was a series of waterfalls and a trail through the woods that went along the path of the waterfalls/stream so we got to follow it the entire way down, then crossed a bridge that went over the top of the water and came back up the other side. Unfortunately our camera died before we even started on the trail so I don't have any pictures of us hiking the path, throwing rocks in the rushing water, playing in the wilderness, etc. However, I was able to get a few right when we got there.

This is truly what we as a family love to do most- getting outside and enjoying and exploring nature. So much better than watching TV or movies or staying inside. Now that the weather is slowly getting a bit better we plan on getting out and doing this kind of thing more and more. And, it's free! Can't beat that. We felt so refreshed after the hike and after getting so much cool fresh air. Napping was soon to follow for all three of us.

We will definitely be taking any visitors here next time someone comes.
