Looking to Become Renters-Who Knew

We have been, for the past few months, searching for ways to bring in some extra money to help pay off our massive debt and we have had zero luck. Our schedules are a bit wacky, leaving our availability pretty much non-existent and Loren's non-compete clause leaves him with almost no options since he is the cafe manager of the Barnes and Noble cafe and his best option for a part time job would be working in another coffee shop. And, I am, first and foremost a wife and mom who already works morning and early afternoons M-F so finding another job on top of that has been pretty much impossible. So, we have been praying and seeking out God's will and asking for wisdom. We had a few offers come our way, all of which fell through. We were thinking we might need to move as our rest vs. income ratio is way too high and we needed to lower it big time. Then it hit me while I was driving and praying the other day-we could sublet out one of our rooms. We have 3 rooms and only really need 2. One is a play room and no one "needs" a play room. Yes, it's perfect for having play dates, it has always been a dream of mine to have one and it's been a perfect spare bedroom for when my mom and dad come to visit, but it is a non-necessity (Mom, you can use my bedroom when you come to visit :) ) and there are many people who go through life with a whole lot less so this would be a minimal sacrifice.

The renter would have that room & the bathroom (it's Gracie's now, but her stuff could move into our bathroom as it's huge) all to themselves and would also have access to our laundry room, the kitchen, etc. They would of course be responsible for cleaning up their own room, bathroom, dishes, etc. that they use and would need to purchase their own food, but for a young single person (hoping for a Young Life leader or someone in ministry) this could perfect and a win win situation for both parties. It would be as if we, Loren and I, both had part time jobs.

Now, we just need to find that person. However, I think our best option is leaving the decision in God's hands. We can't wait to see who and what God has in store for us in all of this. Life is always a journey and I am excited to be apart of it.
