What a wonderful day! Grace got to meet her cousins, Katie (10) & Tyler (8) for the first time on Tuesday November 17th.
Mark, Katie and Tyler came over for breakfast at 9am. We had eggs, bacon, sausage, scones, and fruit. Then the kids played. Katie played the clarinet for Grace. Tyler became an architect and played with blocks. And, Grace took it all in. Then we took a lovely walk through part of our trial. It started to rain so we had to turn around, but it was good to get out for a bit and take in some fresh air. When we got back the kids decorated sugar cookies. So thrilled it ended up being a hit for all of them. While the cookies were baking, Grace went with Loren & Katie to her preschool to get her photos taken and I got lunch ready while Mark & Tyler played together. After lunch we surprised the kids with an outing-BOWLING!!!! Grace had never been before and I had not been in years. Mark graciously treated and we all had the most spectacular time. What a grand adventure. I was sad it was over, knowing that we might not get to see them for another few years, but the blessing of this visit will last in my memory forever.
