1st Choir Concert at Rogers High School

Growing up Loren was involved in the Rogers High School Choir.
Last year he was able to see his Choir Director direct his final Christmas Concert.
He retired in the spring of 2008. This year, after the concert got cancelled due to snow, they were able to perform their concert in Jan. of 2009 lead by a new director. We debated whether or not to bring Grace and then decided to bring her fully thinking I would just take her home after a song her too. Grace blew us away. At first she was whispering but everyone could still hear her so we had to tell her that she was not allowed to talk while they were singing, only when people were clapping and she did it! What a surprise as we would never expect a 2 year old to sit and be quiet for very long especially our highly spirited little ball of energy. Music is definitely a part of who she is and she is so passionate about it. We've been singing to her since the moment she was born and she's been in love with it every since. She snuggled with daddy for every song, gave him special looks and even did a little head bopping during the final song which had a neat drum section. For me, the most precious part was when Loren got to go up with the choir and all the other past choir members and sing. Every year everyone in the audience who is an alum can join the choir and they sing the same song every year "Thy Little One's" It's a beautiful song and they stand hand in hand in unity. Grace and I snuggled while daddy sang. Maybe one day Grace and Loren will be able to stand up there together and sing in harmony!
