Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was a hoot.
Thankfully, Grace blessed us by sleeping in....7:23 was when she called.
And, for her this is majorly sleeping in (my early bird) so we were so grateful for the special treat.
We came down stairs, opened gifts while breakfast was baking (we made a breakfast casserole the night before...thanks Mom).
I love Christmas morning. It's one of my favorite days.
Then we ate breakfast, called my mom and then my dad, Papabear and brother, and proceeded to watch the 2nd half of the Very Merry Christmas Parade (Disney).
Lunch than nap time.....Ahhhhh, to nap is like heaven.
Finally we showered and got dressed, but we really didn't want to.
Loren and I cooked a whole chicken for the first time. We made in our new Deep Dish Baker from PC and it was amazing.
Came out perfect. We also made some Thanksgiving day favorites from my childhood...corn casserole and sweet potato souffle. Mmmmmmm....we were all just drooling.
After we ate we headed to Zoo Lights, a tradition we started last year and just like last year it rained the entire way there and stopped once we arrived. Boy was it freezing. I was glad to get back in the car.
Then home and to bed for all, and to all a good night.
