Friday January 23rd was the last day Grace would wear pull-ups during the day.
What a day. Our last "baby" thing and we were saying goodbye for good.
Such mixed feelings. Glad to get rid of the cost of diapers/pull-ups but sad because she will be our only child and she's growing up (waaaaaay too fast). No more baby.
After she went to sleep the decorating started.
Nothing fancy, just balloons and streamers.
We also found an .80 bag of blow horns-anything with noise is always a hit!
We wrapped up some panties, a doll for her to potty train and a gift for being a big girl (something we bought last summer but forgot to give her ;) ).
We also made sure to have lots of juice and treats on hand...treats for trying to go potty and treats for going on the potty and treats for her for when the dolly tried to go potty or went on the potty (all pretend of course, but Grace would reap the benefits of the dolly's success). We threw our sugar rule out the window (well, just for the weekend) and got her all her special treats: yogurt covered raisins, multi-colored marshmallows, chocolate chip cookies and a cake mix for Sunday.
We even found a $3 hand held bubble machine for those special times when she would go on the potty this weekend.
Here We Go!
