We took dad to Tum Water Falls. One of my favorite places to go.
It was beautiful and thankfully the side we were on was shaded which kept things about 10 degrees cooler.
It is such a relaxing place to go-listening to the rapids and waterfalls is like therapy to the sole.
Grace spent most of our visit throwing stones in the rushing river. By the end of our visit her face was covered in dirt as was her shirt. To me that means we had a really good time. I love when kids get dirty.
Dad and I sat by the ledge of the rushing river and talked and talked and talked.
Mini water falls were all around us as well, helping to keep us cool.
After we left we were starving and decided to head to Barnes and Noble on the way home to 1. show dad where Loren works and 2. get some grub at 50% off!!!!!
When we got back we all rested.
Then due to the heat and no one wanting to turn on an oven or stove we headed out to Red Robin for dinner.
When we got back I put Grace to bed while the guys went searching for portable AC units as the heat was getting greatly unbearable. Sadly, every single place was sold out and would be for quite some time.
***Today marks the hottest day in history for Seattle. I think my dad brought this high heat. It's just unbearable, especially with no AC. We were in the hundreds. Crazy and my poor dad was coming, thinking he was going to be in cooler weather. Oops.
Poor Gracies room has been in the 90's even late, late at night. The poor girl had the hardest time sleeping while my dad was here. Ohhhh, how we are longing for rain and a break in this heat wave.
